Current Event-PLA soldiers plan to blow up debris blocking river

This news is about the obstructed lake after the earthquake in China.
The landslide and the debris clogged the river and became the obstructed lake and there are many thunderstorms, the Meteorological Administration is afraid that the lake would submerge the village.
To fight the flood risk, there are many soldiers going to Beichuan County to blow up debris blocking river.

After reading this news, it reminds me that after the earthquake, the expert in Taiwan had said that the obstructed lake will threaten the victims’ life.
The news said that the government has evacuated the resident in Beichuan, and the soldiers each carry 10kg of explosives to blast through the debris.
It is really a dangerous job, the soldiers are really brave. They carry the explosives and walk to Beichuan, what if the explosives blow up themselves?
The earthquake in China is really a disaster. The government said that the death toll would surpass 80,000. How terrible it is!

I hope these troubles could blow over and the recovery could be done soon.

Current Event-Ma could ask male staff at Presidential Office to ditch suit

The Ma administration has been promoting energy conservation and carbon-emission reduction. Presidential Office officials have set an example by swapping their big limos for smaller cars. Now Ma is considering a policy that would require male staff at the Presidential Office to stop wearing suits and ties to cut down on air conditioning costs.

Our new president Ma Ying-jeou seems to do a lot of things that good to the environment. I think this is really a good thing, because we had harmed the earth for many decades.
I had also heard that the wife of the president wore out of fashion clothes to attend the inauguration and she also affect other people. Because of Ma and his wife, many people started to be economical.
To reduce the air conditioning costs is the topic everyone says about how to protect the earth, but I never thought of this kind of method.
I hope the government can really do good things to earth and us, so that we can have happy lives in the future.

Current Events - Outbreak risk also in Beijing, more than 1,400 sick

The enterovirus 71 outbreak in China seriously and also risked in Beijing. The disease is very horrible; it can damage many important parts of human body, even to death. They said only children will be infected. There are many children in China have been infected, but their parents don't have much money, and they are worry about the treatment. This news is important to everybody in the world, because Olympic Game will be hold in Beijing soon. Anyone go to Beijing now has to be very careful, because they may bring the virus back to their country.

This news makes me worried, because my roommate's father works in China. And also, my boyfriend's families live there, and they have a six-year-old boy. This news reminds me of SARS, and it was really a hard time during the outbreak of SARS. Olympic Game is also a big problem. In my opinion, the tourists to China might reduce.

Although our medical technologies have been improved to a great level, there are still many diseases that we don't know how to cure. All I can do is pray for those who are living in China and the one who must go there. I wish all the disease disappear soon in the future, so that we can live healthy.

Current Events - Military dogs ready to protect and serve

The news is talking about the military dogs' training. It introduces when the military dog team was established, how the handlers train the dogs, and what the military dogs do. The military dog's training is hard and time-consuming.
Also, they interview the Military Police dog squad chief Lieutenant, he said:"Know your dogs and love them with your all your heart. If you do, they will pay you back by sacrificing themselves and keeping you alive on the battlefield." This sentence is my favorite one in the news.

After I read this newspaper, I started to respect the one who was working at the Military Police dog squad, both the dogs and the human beings. They have to be very patient and professional.
To communicate with the dogs is really hard. In my opinion, talking to people who are in the same language can be difficult, still less a dog.
The dogs can't speak, but they have to know what the dogs need and when they will need anything. There is not only a dog, and every dog has it's own characters and habits. To be their friends would be more difficult than be with a human beings.
The most interesting part to me is the dogs would sacrifice it selfs to save it's handler's life. It is hard to see in our social. Maybe dogs is really a good friend, even better than a human beings.
This news is really interests me a lot, and I also learn a lot from it.

When my roommate and I walked back to our dormitory few days ago, we found the building is really beautiful. We decided to take some photos. I realized carefulness can lead us see many beautiful things.

We tried to create the feelings of 101. Ha Ha.

Last Saturday, my grandparents, ants, dad, younger brother and I went to Yangmingshan for dinner. There are many hot spring resorts.

The one we visited has many blockhouse, customers can take a break and a hot spring after have meals.

The scenery there is really beautiful and the blockhouse is comfortable. We plan to go to there when the Chinese new year come. There is really a good place for relaxing.

This is our first project of grafic design.
We had to combine the sport stars and the opera to make a new poster.
Then we used the software called photoshop to put the poster on the bus and the bus stop.
I took many photoes of the bus and the bus stop.

It is really pleasant that we had finished a project in this semester.
My topic is “The shower nozzle with Chinese pattern.”
To make the cover, I had to vacuum form one.

First, I had to make a mode in the shape I want.
The process was really all about try and failure.
I made the factory and my pants dirty.
Redid over and over again, I finally made a nice mode.

Although I still had to whetted, I felt a sense of accomplishment.
It was a great experience.

I used to think that the scene outside of our dormitory is really ugly. Few and scattered trees bestrew the brae and the color isn’t beautiful, either. But few days ago, I found something different. I was tired, so I lied on the floor. I saw the buildings and the sky, it’s really fantastic.

And also few days ago, I went to Taipei. Because I was free, I walked on the street and look around the Taipei city. I found that buses and bus stations in Taipei are really beautiful. Before, I thought that spend money on the street is really a great drain. But now, I found its function. Beautiful scenery can make people feel good. How smart is the one who started to decorate the street.

These days, I learned that look things at different side, things will be different.

This weekend I stay at school.
It was really extraordinary because I almost go home every week.

This Saturday is CGU’s 20th birthday.
We should take care of the elders who came from Health Care Culture Village.

The elder in our team was a professor came back from America; she wanted to stay alone with her friends so we were asked to leave.
I was a little disappointed because I wanted to have some conversation with her.

We were free from our job, so we went to eat some stuff which sold in the stand.
It was hot and there was really nothing to eat, bored and tired.
Not until midday could we go back to the dormitory.

It was really so comfortable in the dormitory that we forgot that boys could visit our room. When we dress in the leisurewear, ate dinner, they came in suddenly.
Fortunately, our room had just cleaned up.

We did some homework and slept early. It was really a relaxed day.

Few days ago, my friend and I went to Taipei main station to buy the birthday present for one of my roommates. As we walked around the department store and felt terribly tired, we saw a singing competition. It was hold by Taiwan Life Company. The competition's rule was, if you make any mistake on tone or lyrics, you are out of the competition. They named the competition as "The Cruel Stage". There were some funny entries, let me introduce you some guys.








This is a cram school teacher came from south of Taiwan. He sang the song of Gary. The interesting thing was that he sang Gary's song in yu-qing Fei's way. He earned all the attendees' clapping. It was so comical but he sang so great.


This person sang great, too. Why he was also funny? See the photo and you'll know why. He was really absorbed in his performance that he can't stand to kneel on the ground. All the people, even the juries laughed.



There were many people there to enjoy the competition. These two people caught my eyes. One was a beautiful girl. She has a sweet smile, doesn't she? The other is this little girl. She is so cute that I just can't take my eyes off her.



Last but not least, the juries. Can you see the one with dark glasses? He is Gary. His song is really good for listening. The man who sat at the left side of Gary is also handsome. Sincerely, I looked at this guy more than looked at Gary.

Although my foot was tired, the funny person and the handsome guy made up every thing. I really had a great day at that day.

Today is really tired.
I didn't sleep untill five thirty this morning, and we had basic design class at nine.
It was really tired!

When we had composition class, I was so tired that I can’t help but fall asleep.
The teacher is really nice, so I tried to open my eyes and listen.
Unfortunately, I was so tired that I didn’t hear anything.
To be more efficient, I have to work harder and smarter.

After the class, I watched a movie.
The character in the movie say：「If you have a dream, you must protect it. If you want to do something, you must accomplish it.」
I have many dreams, but I never tried to protect them.
Everything to me is nonessential.
I don’t know what I really want, so I won’t be ambitious.
Then I would never be successful.

Work hard, work smart and work happy.
I really have lot’s of things to learn.

It's really cold recently.
My heart is also cold.
I don't know how to control my emotion.
How ridiculous it was.

Every time I try to fly, I jump and fall without my winds.
I'm always trying to do things better. But the results never be what I thought.
I'm choleric these days.
Unfortunately, I don't know how to improve it.

I must be more concentrate on what I need to do.
I must be happy.
Things I must to do are many.
How can I be laxly?
Cheer up.
I hope everything will be alright.

The semester starts today. We arrived CGU last night. I’ve had stomachache for several days. An unknown life is coming. I feel very nervous.

Cleaned the room, spread the bed, tidy up my clothes and connect the computer. The life in CGU has started. My roommate and I celebrated a girl’s birthday and play a game named “Rummikub” until one thirty. We really had a great time.

This morning I didn’t sleep over. It was really a good beginning. My goal in this semester is being whole-attendance. I hope I can study harder and being “something” in this new year. Good luck to me!

We had military training lesson this afternoon. The teacher taught us how to do CPR in today’s class. I was so lucky that I had been chosen to do CPR in front of whole class. I’m not good at that. It was really embarrassed that blew breath to a phony body time after time.

There was a new experience today. When my roommate and I went to the post office to exchange the bonus, the post office was about to shut down. The clerk closed the iron gate, so we were in the post office with it’s door is closed. We felt interested.

We are going to play basketball later. It was cold outside. I really don’t want to go out again. Pray for me …I don’t want to starve with cold.
